Getting Started on macOS

Bookshelf automatically discovers your Apple Books library containers under ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.iBooksX/Data/Documents/ and imports your owned volumes, series, collections, and reading highlights in read-only mode.

• Re-ingest Catalog: Click the refresh button in the top toolbar to scan your Apple Books catalog and reconcile newly downloaded EPUBs and PDFs on disk.
• Sync Highlights: Open Commonplace Book in the left sidebar and click Sync Highlights to import highlights, underlines, and margin notes from AEAnnotation.
• Publish a Collection: Right-click any Apple Books collection in the left sidebar and select Publish to bookshelf.tools to include that shelf on your public web catalog.

Keyboard Shortcuts

• ⌘F: Focus the full-library and full-text chapter search bar.
• ⌘1 / ⌘2 / ⌘3 / ⌘4 / ⌘5: Switch between Covers, Spines, Table, Series Matrix, and Authors views.
• Arrow Keys: Navigate across volumes in Covers, Spines, or Table view.
